Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava: “Enguri HPP is a very important facility for us, a very important source of cheap energy, which came into operation in the 1970s. Accordingly, in order to ensure the safe supply of electricity from Enguri HPP to the population and, more generally, the physical safety of the dam, the reservoir and the various hydraulic structures, periodic repair is essential.”
