The project to introduce digital management at Enguri HPP continues. As part of the initiative, the organisation’s commercial director Irakli Shengelia and representatives of the commercial service attended the international exhibition E-world Energy & Water in Essen, Germany.

The project to introduce digital management at Enguri HPP continues. As part of the initiative, the organisation’s commercial director Irakli Shengelia and representatives of the commercial service attended the international exhibition E-world Energy & Water in Essen, Germany.

E-world Energy & Water is an annual international exhibition that brings together representatives of the European energy industry. The representatives of Enguri HPP attended the event at the invitation of the German company Verbund.

The parties discussed digital technologies and advances in the field of electricity and hydro generation. Optimising generation processes, automating and optimising service and management processes, the digital visualisation of certain procedures, dispatching at various levels and unified systems — these were the topics on which those attending the meeting focused.

The representatives of Enguri HPP presented the specifics of our organisation and their own vision for introducing digital management to the foreign companies. The parties also agreed that after the visit further communication would continue by video conference. Information on certain details will therefore be shared online, which is a very important process for developing the final strategy.

It should be noted that the preparatory process for introducing digital management at Enguri HPP is being carried out by the Georgian company UGT with the direct involvement of Austrian specialists.
