Earlier, Georgian State Electrosystem said that the electricity supply had been interrupted because at 14:00 the 500-kilovolt Imereti transmission line and the Enguri HPP hydropower plant were disconnected due to a fault.

“On 14 June this year, at 14:00, all units of Enguri HPP were stopped as a result of the emergency disconnection of the 500 kV Imereti transmission line. Following the restoration of the Imereti transmission line, all five units of Enguri HPP are now connected to the grid,” says the reply from Enguri HPP, provided to Netgazeti in writing.
